Minister Vong Sauth Calls On The People To Continue To Unite To Maintain Peace

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Vong Sauth has said that the liberation on 7 January and the peace factor under Prime Minister's win-win policy have made Cambodia develop from bare hands to things like today.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Krek commune hall, concrete road and Krek commune administrative gate on Monday, 28 March,Minister Vong Sauth has said that Cambodia has gone through the Pol Pot era for 3 years, 8 months and 20 days, which was destroyed a lot of infrastructure, especially human resources, which is important for the nation.

He has stressed that after the liberation on 7 January 1979, the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Prime Minister Hun Sen has sought to achieve full political stability, develop new achievements continuously and continue to improve the lives of local people during the crisis in Cambodia, without letting Cambodia back to the past.

He has considered war as an enemy of the nation, the people, that all citizens must maintain the spirit of national unity so that war does not happen again.

"Therefore, we must unite to avoid war, that is, to maintain the current peace and continue to strive to restore the lives of the people as well as restore the national economy for the better." He has reminded.

At the same time, the Minister has urged public officials to fulfill their role of providing public services to local people as needed, adhering to transparency and partisanship.

The Kampuchean United Front for National Salvation has led a Vietnamese-backed army to overthrow the genocidal Democratic Kampuchea regime on 7 January 1979, after a victory over the Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen Cambodia sought peace and unity in the last 500 years of history for the first time in 1998 and continues to grow today.
